Admission Requirements

  • GU Undergraduate Requirements

    • Achieve a minimum SAT score of 1150 (out of 1600 math and critical reading) or ACT composite score of 25
    • Achieve a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale
    • Be ranked in the top 25% of the high school class
    • Complete four years of science courses and four years of math courses at the high school level
    • Provide evidence of scholarly, professional and personal potential and a desire to become an osteopathic physician  

    PCOM Requirements

    Students who meet all entry requirements listed below will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. A maximum of 10 students will be accepted into this program each year; at their discretion, PCOM may allow additional students entry into the program.  

    • Successfully complete the course requirements for PCOM
    • Earn an overall GPA of 3.0 through the junior year for the “4+4” program OR 3.2 through the sophomore year for the “3+4” program
    • Earn a minimum score of seven (7) in each section on the MCAT (students are encouraged to score higher in order to be competitive for admission)
    • Submit an application to PCOM through AACOMAS no later than mid-January the year the student plans to matriculate to PCOM
    • Successfully complete a personal interview with PCOM
