Ross University Accelerated Medical Program

  • Program Description

    • The 4+4 pre-medical program with Ross University School of Medicine on the Caribbean island of Dominica leading to an M.D. degree  
    • Qualified students will be conditionally guaranteed an interview with Ross, an advantage over students at other institutions at the time of application  
    • Participation in the program does not restrict students ability to apply to other medical schools  

    Liberal Studies Core

    The Liberal Studies Core Curriculum is one reflection of Gannon University's commitment to its Catholic identity. The Core's design offers students a defined, integrated, shared experience as the foundation for their undergraduate program.

    Gannon University Undergraduate Entry Requirements

    •  Achieve a minimum SAT score of 1150 in critical reading and math or ACT composite score of 25 or higher 
    •  Achieve a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale 
    •  Obtain a rank in the top 25% of your high school class 
    •  Complete four years of science courses and four years of math courses at the high school level 
    •  Provide evidence of scholarly, professional and personal potential and a desire to become a physician 

    Admissions Process

    Students who meet all entry requirements listed below will be accepted on a rolling admission basis.

    Affiliate Entry Requirements

    • Successfully complete the course requirements for Ross University School of Medicine
    • Earn an overall GPA of 3.25 through the junior year, with no grade lower than a 'C' and no repeated courses
    • Submit an application directly to Ross University
    • Submit two letters of recommendation to Ross University School of Medicine
    • Successfully acquire a positive recommendation after an in-person interview
