What You'll Be Doing

Gannon University believes enthusiastic, scientific-minded people have the unique ability to not only understand science and technology, but also to articulate those concepts as a salesperson. Whether you are interested in sales positions in pharmaceutical, biomedical, chemical, environmental, or computer and technology-related fields, Gannon’s scientific and technical sales program can put you on the path to success. As a scientific and technical sales major, you will gain a background in business that is integrated with multiple disciplines of science in preparation for an entry level position. Coursework for scientific and technical sales includes principles of macroeconomics, business statistics, financial accounting, financial management, molecular/cellular biology, environmental science, physics and chemistry.

Only a small minority of graduates nationwide have extensive training in both business and science, making a degree in scientific and technical sales unique and desirable to employers. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the average annual salary for those established in scientific and technical sales positions is $67,330.
