The following is a listing of non-credit opportunities available at Gannon to enhance yourself and broaden your scope of learning.

Center for Excellence
in Teaching and Learning

The Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning focuses on providing professional development opportunities for Gannon faculty through various workshops and seminars. Each May, CETL will host a week-long training program to help eight faculty members learn how to use technology as a tool in the classroom. The faculty, from both of Gannon’s academic colleges, will focus on innovations in their classroom. Also various workshops will be offered throughout the year.

Real Estate Courses

Gannon University offers two non-credit courses to prepare students for the Pennsylvania Real Estate Salesperson's License Exam. The two courses -- Real Estate Fundamentals and Real Estate Practice -- have been approved by the State Real Estate Commission to meet the 60 hours of instruction needed before an individual can sit for the exam. Gannon Small Business
Development Center

The Gannon SBDC provides counseling and training services, including Federal Procurement Assistance and International Trade Management. In addition, SBDC administers a program to assist business start-ups for low-to-moderate income residents of Erie, as well as a Youth Training Program that teaches entrepreneurial skills to minority high school youth.

 

Science in Motion

The Science in Motion -- Science Education Outreach Program consists of eleven institutions of higher education. Science in Motion provides professional development opportunities to science teachers by offering workshops to them in the summer and throughout the school year.
