Honors Graduate Recognition
University Honors students strive to attain one of two different levels of Honors recognition.
- Graduating students are recognized as Honors Associates if they have maintained good standing in the University Honors Program and have earned 18 Honors academic credits.
- The designation of Honors Scholars is given to those graduating students who have maintained good standing in the program, taken two semesters of a foreign language, and earned 24 Honors academic credits.
- Participation in the University Honors Program does not increase the number of credits required for graduation, nor does it involve extra cost. Since participation in the University Honors Program is entirely voluntary, a student may terminate involvement in the program at any time without penalty.
The Gannon Honors Program is available to all qualified students regardless of their chosen major.
The program is designed especially for motivated and inquisitive students.
Honors students enjoy smaller classes staffed by the best teachers.
The Gannon experience is enhanced through close interaction with motivated students, extended contact with concerned faculty, and participation in a wide range of social, cultural and educational events.
