Laptop Computer Capabilities
The Gannon Community has two options for Internet access via laptops:
1) Borrow a laptop from the Circulation Desk (the library owns 13).
These are already formatted for wireless Internet connections anywhere in the library, and both battery and adapter power options are available.
2) Bring a laptop. This option requires one of the following:
A) Follow ITS Department instructions for wireless connections (click here).
B) Bring a telephone line, plug it into an available outlet, and within the Internet browser, go to Tools then Internet Options then Connections and select "Dial whenever network connection not present".
Guests can plug their laptops into library outlets (if not needed by Gannon members), but will not have Gannon network access. They must follow the above directions under 2.B for Internet access.
