GANNON TO HOST BUSINESS DAY ON NOV. 30 FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

Gannon University’s Dahlkemper School of Business Administration on Friday, Nov. 30 will host an informational event to help high school juniors and seniors decide if pursuing a degree in business is right for them.

The event, Business Day, also will address the types of post-graduation opportunities available to students should they decide to major in business. Business Day is open to prospective students as well as their parents and will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Waldron Campus Center, 124 West Seventh Street.

Gannon faculty members and administrators will try to help the students and their parents answer questions such as:

  • What kind of a job/career am I most interested in?
  • What will the job market be like after I graduate from college?
  • What salary range can I expect?
  • Will the college I choose help me with pursuing internships and give me a chance to meet professionals working in the field?
  • Will the college I choose help me acquire the skills and knowledge base I need to secure a good job after I graduate?

During the event, the attendees will be able to meet with graduates of Gannon’s Dahlkemper Business School and current business students. In addition, the high school students also can participate in workshops on different business majors.

Parents can meet with representatives from financial aid to review procedures and ask questions. The event will conclude with a tour of the campus.

Gannon’s Dahlkemper School of Business Administration offers a wide range of programs, including accounting, advertising communications, business administration, finance, international business, management, marketing, risk management/insurance, and sports management and marketing.
