DOCTORAL PROGRAM IN
ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING AND LEADERSHIP APPROVED
Gannon University is pleased to announce a new Ph.D. program in
Organizational Learning and Leadership, the first and only program of its
kind in the region.
The program recently was
approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and will be offered
to accepted students during the fall 2007 semester. It is designed for
working adult students who possess graduate degrees in the fields of
education, business, public administration, social science, and health
science, as well as other areas of study.
“We are thrilled to offer
this in-demand Ph.D. program, which will offer a challenging curriculum
from the College of Humanities, Business and Education and is designed to
assist professionals to pursue a doctorate to either advance their careers
or alter their career paths through the attainment of a doctoral degree,”
said President Antoine M. Garibaldi, Ph.D.
Primary focal points of the
program include:
- To enable leaders to engage in research and to
facilitate learning and development in a variety of contexts.
- To manage institutions and organizations in a
variety of leadership capacities.
Careers pertaining to the
pursuit of this degree include, but are not limited to:
- Leadership in P-12 education administration.
- Positions in higher education as either a faculty
member or administrator.
- Leadership careers in health care, business, and
non-profit leadership.
- Organizational development and leadership
consulting.
For admission consideration,
individuals must submit a program application, provide official
transcripts from all universities attended, and forward GRE scores from
within the last three years to Gannon’s Center for Adult Learning (CFAL).
Applications will be reviewed immediately.
