EXTREME MAKEOVER
Gannon University student-athletes, coaches, and cheerleaders were extremely generous in volunteering their time to help ABC-TV’s hit show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” Members of the Gannon football, volleyball, and cheerleading teams were instrumental in helping the show and the process, which resulted in a new home constructed for Clara Ward, founder of the former Youth Development Center for abused and neglected children. Ward is the recipient of Erie’s first “extreme” home after her former home in the 600 block of East 21st Street was demolished and rebuilt from the ground up in a matter of days. A complete photo gallery, depicting the help given by Gannon’s student-athletes, coaches, and cheerleaders, can be accessed at http://www.gannonsports.com/photo_gallery.aspx?gallery=10. |
