  mission statement

Gannon University and the Office of Campus Police and Safety are committed to providing a safe living and learning environment for its campus. Our goal is to create an environment that focuses on crime prevention and problem solving through awareness and education. By working together as a team, we create a safer and more secure living and learning environment.

While we promise you a committed effort to provide a safe and secure campus, we cannot guarantee a crime free environment. Therefore, it is important that every student and member of the Gannon family help to achieve our common goal. We ask that you read this publication and familiarize yourself with Gannon’s safety programs and policies.

Personal safety on campus as well as in your hometown isn’t as much about where you are as it is about your awareness and interpretation of your surroundings. It's possible to learn ways to enhance your own safety. Be aware of your surroundings, the type of activity going on and the people around you.
