Illegally Parked Vehicles WITH Permits

All students of the University are expected to comply with parking regulations as outlined in this booklet. Any vehicle that displays a valid student parking sticker and parks in an unauthorized, restricted, or reserved space, or is otherwise in violation of published policy shall be subject to a University citation. This citation will include a monetary fine of $10.00 (ten dollars). Subsequent citations shall be an additional $10.00 per offense. Fines may be paid at the Campus Police and Safety Office within 30 (thirty) days from the date of issuance.

Any student receiving a University citation may pay the fine OR appeal the citation (See Appeals, Section IX) within 30 days of the date of issuance. Failure to pay or appeal a citation will result in an additional $5.00 administrative cost. After the 30th day, the $15.00 (total) fee shall be charged to the student’s account.

The Campus Police and Safety Office shall be responsible for issuing a "15 Day Notice" to the owner of a vehicle with an outstanding citation or fine. This notice will be delivered via Campus Mail as a courtesy to remind the owner of the existence of the citation(s) and his/her option to pay and/or appeal the citation within the 30-day period

The policy for authorization to deduct fines and fees for unpaid citations over 30 days from a student’s account shall be provided to the student at the time the permit is issued. The student shall signify his/her agreement with the policy by signing the agreement as a condition to the permit being issued. Failure of the student to sign the agreement will result in withholding of the parking permit until the agreement is signed
