Cheerleader Coach

Bring your enthusiasm to Gannon University and coach the cheerleading squad for the home football and basketball games.  The successful candidate for the position of part-time cheerleading coach will be responsible for recruiting cheerleaders, scheduling and organizing practices, and game preparation.  The work schedule will vary with heavier emphasis from September through March.  Must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission.  Requirements include a high school degree or equivalent, one to two years of coaching experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Support Technician

Become part of a caring, faith-based University that believes in fostering intellectual development, enriching Christian values and beliefs, and preparing motivated students for leadership roles in their careers, society and church.  Gannon University invites applications for the position of Support Technician.  Reporting to the Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, the successful candidate will assist and train faculty with the usage of the instructional equipment, maintain instructional equipment, provide support services, coordinate events and workshops, assist visitors and maintain the web page for the Center.

Requirements:  a high school diploma/GED (bachelor’s degree is preferred); specialized technical training in computers, media and/or a related field, and three-to-five years’ experience working with media equipment are desirable; working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) programs is required; excellent communication and problem solving skills are essential.  Must be able to support and promote the University’s Mission.

Switchboard Operator

Gannon University, a Catholic university, invites applications for a full-time Switchboard Operator; second shift; work schedule is 40 hours/week (4:00 pm – 12:00 am), Monday thru Friday and is located in the Police and Safety Office at Gannon University which is located at 117 W. 7th Street.  The Office of Police and Safety is a 24/7 working environment, so holiday coverage is also necessary during this Monday thru Friday schedule.

Responsibilities include: operating the University switchboard; directing all incoming calls appropriately; radio dispatching; and operating and monitoring the campus alarms and internal 911 systems; along with logging in/out the Gannon student work studies that provide safety/escort service for students while on campus.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; and experience with telecommunications equipment, computers, and keyboard communications systems is preferred.  Must be able to support and promote the University’s mission.

Junior Information Technology Technician

Gannon University, a Catholic university, invites applications for a Junior Information Technology Technician. The successful candidate will respond to help desk requests providing first- and second-level technical support relating to Information Technology hardware and software installation and troubleshooting; assist with new employee setups and employee moves; consult with users regarding hardware acquisitions and recommending configurations that meet Gannon’s standards and reflect current technology; and other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma with one to two years’ equivalent experience or an Associate’s degree in a computer-related field; must have experience with PC and instructional technology hardware maintenance; PC operating systems; and software usage, installation and upgrades, especially Microsoft Office.  Experience with TCP/IP networks is desirable.  In addition, must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, the ability to lift 55 lbs., and be a team-player.
