Students seeking Study Abroad Program

applying for an internship as part of the Study Abroad Program, please
contact the Center for Experiential Education at 814-871-7680.
Students seeking credit approval for Study Abroad Programs are encouraged to contact
their academic departments and/or dean.
Study Abroad Checklist

Review potential
opportunities for Study Abroad, researching thoroughly what the
experience has to provide.

Be sure to choose a
reputable program and a program that is endorsed by your educational
institution. Confirm credit approval with your academic
departments and/or dean.

Make sure that you
secure details regarding total costs including Study Abroad credits,
travel expenses, housing arrangements, living expenses, and any other
expenses that may be involved.

Secure details about
living arrangements to make sure that the area you will live in is safe
and secure.

Contact the Financial
Aid Office to find out how participation in this experience will impact
your financial aid. You will also need to contact Student Living
regarding campus housing arrangements.

Make sure you find out
how Study Abroad participation impacts student status and healthcare
provisions.

Passports can be applied
for through the United States Postal Service. There is an
application fee of $55 payable to the U.S. Department of State and a
$30 processing fee payable to the United States Post Master.
Total cost is $85. It takes approximately 6 weeks to secure a
passport.

on visa requirements and any medical requirements.
