GANNON TO HOST
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR KNIGHT WITH SCHOLARS
Gannon University will welcome to campus more than 100 high
school seniors through its Knight with Scholars program.
Knight with Scholars, to be
held Feb. 20-21, is by invitation only and is designed for those seniors
who have been accepted to Gannon and have been awarded an academic or
leadership scholarship.
Numerous activities are
planned for the students, including participating in mock lectures given
by Gannon faculty. In addition, the students will attend “Gannon at a
Glance,” a series of informational sessions designed to help familiarize
them with the range of services and resources offered by the university.
Campus Ministry, the Gannon Honors Program, campus leadership
opportunities, and student life are among the topics that will be covered.
The program will conclude
with a lunch with Antoine M. Garibaldi, Ph.D., president of Gannon,
and faculty members. Participating students will be hosted overnight by
current Gannon students.
“The Knight with Scholars
program will give this group of students a chance to further connect with
the university while letting them better know what Gannon has to offer,”
said Christopher W. Tremblay, director of admissions.
