Residence Life Council (RCL)
The purpose of the residence life council (RCL) is to address issues that are relevant to the students residing in their particular residence hall, Finegan or Wehrle. The goal is to provide leadership, coordinate social activities and to some extent to develop policies or recommendations concerning their residence hall experience. The organization is structured to effectively represent opinions and concerns of the first year students to the faculty, staff and administration of the University. Active members include all freshmen living in Finegan and Wehrle. The administration of the group is carried out by student representatives from each residence hall. In addition, an Executive Board is elected by the students to function as the decision making body for the entire organization.
Gannon University Residence Union – (GURU)
The purpose of the Gannon University Residence Union (GURU) is fundamentally the same as the freshmen RLC. GURU is structured to represent upperclassmen students who reside in the University’s on-campus housing units. Representation to faculty, staff and administration is accomplished through this organization. Student representation is elected from each building and the Executive Board is elected by the students to function as the decision making body and to be a vehicle of communication with the faculty, staff and administration.
