It’s a great time to be studying radio, television, digital media, or theatre at Gannon.

Our department is alive with expert faculty, energetic students, and fields of study that are exploding and providing opportunities for careers that were unimagined just a few years ago.

Whether you are interested in traditional media like radio and television, or whether you are a "digital wizard," or whether you love performing in front of a live audience, we will help you develop the skills you need to write, perform and produce messages for diverse audiences for now and for the future.

We are good advisors, good mentors, and teachers who embrace the latest teaching methods and technologies. Since we believe that it takes four years to really become skilled, you will be immersed in media and theatre from the first day you join our department. Challenging classes, in your major, start with your first semester. Performance opportunities in media and theatre are open to all freshmen. By the time you are a junior, you will be ready for professional internships in radio, television, digital media, and theatre.

There are six radio stations, a broadcast television station, and a nationally recognized community theatre within walking distance of our campus. We send student interns to museums, sports teams, arts organizations, hospitals, and businesses adjacent to our downtown campus.
