  • Attend either a general Study Abroad information session or one of the sessions offered by the University department offering a specific program. 

  • Research program details (courses offered, prerequisites, language, length of program, program cost, funding available, documents required).

    Scholarships for which you may apply:
  • Meet with your Faculty Advisor to discuss how your proposed Study Abroad program fits with your academic goals and requirements. 

  • Meet with a Financial Aid Advisor to discuss how Study Abroad affects current and future aid packages and scholarship awards.   

  • If choosing a semester- or year-long program, schedule an appointment with Study Abroad Coordinator, Dr. Carlos Mamani, to discuss application procedures, departure preparations, and how to make arrangements with Gannon administrative departments for a leave of absence (Registrar, Student Living, etc.)

  • Complete the program application process.

  • Pursue outside scholarship opportunities to defray expenses.

  • Upon acceptance into your program of choice, begin work to secure a valid passport and, if required for the country where you will study, the proper visa. 

  • Attend a mandatory orientation session.
