Biography:
Dr. Pamela Reynolds joined the physical therapy faculty at Gannon University in 2000. Prior to coming to Gannon, she had extensive higher education academic experience in program design, teaching, and administration. She has given many national presentations on the cardiovascular and pulmonary aspects of geriatric physical therapy. She also has several publications in this area. Her doctoral dissertation project was on “How Service-Learning Experiences Benefit Physical Therapy Students’ Professional Development.” She continues to be very passionate about experiential service learning pedagogy and inspiring her students to realize their potential professional roles in the community as advocates, educators and consultants.
She has had several platform and poster presentations accepted at both the national American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and Community Campus Partnership for Health (CCPH) conferences related to service learning and community-based action research. She leads a national Physical Therapy Educator’s Service Learning Network in conjunction with CCPH. Dr. Reynolds has also taken student physical therapists to Hôspital Albert Schweitzer in Haiti and served as a rehabilitation consultant to this hospital.
