Mrs. Guy has a B.A. degree in Education and English from Houghton College, and an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from Gannon. She has provided services for students at Gannon University since 1984. She began as a Counselor for the Commonwealth Academic Achievement Program (CAAP) and a faculty member for the Department of English. In 1991 Mrs. Guy accepted a position as Specialist for the Program for Students with Learning Disabilities (PSLD). During her years with PSLD she also has taught a variety of courses in the University, including Educational Psychology, Mental Health and Speech.

Additionally, from 1995 until 2003, Cheryl had a private practice as a mental health therapist. She was associated with Psychological Health Services and specialized in the treatment of depression, anxiety and eating disorders, with focus on adolescent and women’s issues.
