Over the past 20 years, Gannon's pre-professional program has assisted more than 500 Gannon undergraduates in securing a place in medical, chiropractic, dental, podiatry, optometry and veterinary schools. Consistently, more than 80% of our candidates have met with successful placement. This acceptance rate compares extremely favorably to the national success rate.
Gannon's affiliation agreements with a number of health professional schools further enhance the opportunities of our students. Gannon currently has affiliations with Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), Ross University School of Medicine and School of Veterinary Medicine, Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO), Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine, and Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine.
Area health professionals, a good number of which are Gannon alumni, often meet with and advise our students. Many of them provide opportunities for our students to observe their practices in an office setting. Gannon faculty are student-oriented and we believe our advising system is first-rate.
While most of our students in the pre-professional program major in biology or chemistry, the strong liberal studies component of our curriculum has also attracted students to non-traditional majors such as psychology and english.
I encourage you to come spend a day here at Gannon. During your visit you will have an opportunity to visit academic departments and meet with pre-professional advisors. Please contact the office of admissions at 1-800-GANNON-U, ext. 7407 to make these arrangements. I look forward to your arrival and attendance at Gannon.
Sincerely yours,

Gregory M. Andraso, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Biology
Director: Pre-Medical and Related Programs
