PA Student Day in Harrisburg

Harrisburg As a part of Business Practice for Physician Assistants, a graduate course that discusses the regulatory oversight of the health care field, Professor Holly Jodon and Dr. Catherine Gillespie accompanied six students (Melissa Harding, Megan Kimmy, Joseph Kitts, Emily Kuchta, Sarah Merry, Nicole Ricketts) on an experiential learning opportunity to Harrisburg. Their host, Representative Curtis Sonney (R-4th District), provided a synopsis of the overall process from a legislator’s perspective while Attorney John MIlliron, a lobbyist for the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants (PSPA), presented an overview of the regulatory process.
