Congratulations on looking at the physcian assistant field as a career. We hope you will find it as exciting and rewarding as our faculty and students do!
Gannon offers two entry-level Physcian Assistant masters degree programs. One is a five year accelerated BS/MPAS program which students enter at the undergraduate level, usually in the first year. This program is also designed to accommodate transfer students in the second and third years if space is available. The other is a post-baccalaureate masters program (for students who already have an undergraduate degree) in which students earn a masters degree (MPAS) over a twenty-nine month period.
Gannon has an exciting program with many different rotation opportunities, including rotations in cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, neurology, endocrinology, dermatology and orthopedics. The curriculum is excellent and has been granted accreditation through 2010 for its quality. The program is located within a diverse university that is student and value centered with excellent opportunities for co-curricular activities (clubs, sports, etc.) and extra-curricular activities (beaches, skiing, etc.).
We hope you will find the information you need on programs, admissions, faculty, scholarships and curriculum as you browse through our site. Please feel free to contact the department at 814-871-5643 to speak to a faculty member or contact Dr. Gillespie with any questions you may have.
