Founder's Day Award

Sarah Merry

The Founder’s Day award is bestowed upon the undergraduate student who obtains the highest grade point average in the PA Department. In May 2006, the recipient of this award was Sarah Merry.

Sarah, a graduate of Iroquois High school, Erie, PA joined the PA program in 2002 and has excelled throughout her undergraduate studies. Sarah has matriculated into the graduate phase of the program and is currently completing rotations.

Outstanding Graduate PA Student

Heather Palermo

This award is bestowed upon the student who obtains this highest grade point average at the graduate level. In May of 2006 this award was presented to Heather Palermo.

Heather is from the class of 2006 and has been offered a position in General Surgery. This job opportunity was due to the recommendation of a former preceptor Heather had worked with on her surgery rotation. Heather will be working near her hometown of Kittaning, PA.

Outstanding Clinical PA Student

Tamara Orr

This award is bestowed upon the graduate student who has outstanding academic and clinical performance. In June of 2006 this award was presented to Tamara Orr.

Tamara exemplified excellence in academics and clinical performance through out her clinical experiences. She has been offered a position from one of her clinical preceptors and will be working in Endocrinology in Erie, PA upon graduation.
