Biography:
David completed his B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy in the first graduating class of the O.T. program at Gannon in 1996. He obtained his master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Gannon in May of 2003. David taught as an adjunct faculty member in the program for three years prior to becoming full-time faculty.
David worked at Warren General Hospital for 4 years and was involved extensively in upper extremity and hand rehabilitation. He also has extensive clinical experience in geriatrics in several facilities throughout the region and is continuing as a consultant in the Erie area. He has given several presentations and in-services to local colleges and health-care facilities on positioning and feeding with the geriatric client.
Prior to coming to Gannon, David was providing services at a ventilator dependent and neurological recovery unit at Beverly Rehabiltiation in Meadville, PA. David has a particular interest in neurology and how occupational therapists can enhance independence during neurological recovery.
