Biography:
Bernadette Hattjar, DrOT, OTR/L, CWCE received her advanced clinical doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Hattjar also holds a Master of Education degree from Penn State. She received her Occupational Therapy education at Texas Women’s University.
Dr. Hattjar has clinical expertise in the pediatric and adolescent psychosocial occupational therapy practice areas, as well as in the ergonomics and work rehabilitation areas. She has been a Certified Work Capacity Evaluator for 15 years. She has published numerous articles in national peer-reviewed journals and publications and she is a textbook chapter author.
She is the Chair, Commission on Education (COE) for the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association and is active in occupational therapy professional activities at the local, state, and national levels. Dr. Hattjar is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy Association, the American Association of University Women, and Rotary, International.
