Health & Safety Internship (posted 4/27/07)
An employer located in the New Castle/Zelienople areas is seeking a Safety and Heath Intern for the summer.  Under general supervision, the intern will be responsible for projects that have real impact on the business and will develop and/or review and revise written health and safety policies and procedures; participate in monthly workplace inspections and incident investigations; develop and deliver safety and healthy training; and provide input on OSHA recordkeeping requirements for the site.  Interested students are asked to contact Leslie Patterson or Cheryl Rink in The Center for Experiential Education at 871-7680 or via e-mail. Environmental Health Internship (posted 3/27/07)

We are recruiting for a 2007 Paid Summer Internship located on the eastern shore of Virginia.  The internship runs from May – August.  The internship involves health promotion work targeting Spanish-speaking farm workers on the migrant labor camps.  The work will be environmental health promotion including sanitation, lead, and pesticide safety.  The interns will target farm workers in their homes as well as training and supervising lay health advisors, collecting information, and program evaluation.
