Minoring in English or Journalism Communications is a great way to enhance any major.
A minor in English consists of 18 credit hours beyond the Core of Discovery required courses. At least 3 of the credits will be in literature, 3 in linguistics, and 3 in writing. The remaining hours will be in any ENGL designated credits.
A minor in Journalism consists of 16 credits: ENGL 214 (Writing for News Media), ENGL 215 (Editing for Print Media), ENGL 371 (Mass Media and Popular Culture), ENGL 376 (Journalism Practicum), plus 6 credits of electives with advisor's approval.
