Dr. Gong Chen, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, received his Ph.D. degree in 1988 from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and joined Gannon University in 2001 following his extensive industrial research and development experience in Sunpower, Inc. and General Electric. He is a registered professional engineer (P.E.), has more than 30 technical publications, and is an inventor for nine issued U.S. patents.
