Dr. Zhao joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Gannon University in Fall 2007. Before joining Gannon, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada. From 2002 to 2006, she worked as a research/teaching assistant at the University of Western Ontario while she was pursuing her Ph.D. degree. Prior to that she was on the faculty of the School of Electrical Engineering at Shandong University, Jinan, China. Dr. Zhao's research areas of interests include Electrohydrodynamics (EHD), electrostatic levitation (thruster), micro-EHD pump, electrical machines (design and control), and renewable energy integration in power system.
