Automatic Control laboratory, Z101

This is a cross-disciplinary lab used by both the ECE students and the ME students. It is maintained by the ME department. The total area of the lab is 1420 sq. ft. This lab was developed by the mechanical engineering faculty over the past decade and includes PC based data acquisition equipment for each work station. Several pieces of equipment were designed by students. The mail eqipment that is used for instruction includes:

  • PC based educational control products rectilinear servo control system
  • PC based educational control products rotational servo control system
  • PC based mass/spring/damping system for transient response*
  • Mass/spring/damping system for frequency response*
  • Feedback corp. modular rotational motor velocity control system
  • Bytronic inverted pendulum control system
  • Feedback Corp. magnetic levitation control system
  • Electro-hydraulic servo control system*
