This grant is restricted to academically deserving students with demonstrated financial need enrolled as full-time undergraduate students in the Criminal Justice Program with preference given to local minority students. Award amount is generally $800 per year. Students who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are automatically considered for this scholarship.

The Charlotte W. Newcombe Scholarship for Mature Women Students is restricted to those female students pursuing a Baccalaureate Degree and having “Junior” status. Selection is based upon the following criteria: financial need, life circumstances, clarity and reasonableness of career goals, and academic performance. The scholarship is open to both full-time and part-time students, and the financial award is dependent on receiving grant monies from the Charlotte W. Newcombe Foundation. Applications are sent to all who qualify.
