My name is Erin L.Foley and my hometown is Pittsburgh, Pa.. I'm currently a junior in the Criminal Justice Program.

I decided to come to Gannon University because I liked the atmosphere of a small school and because Gannon is close enough that I can go home to reconnect with my family.

I also came because I received scholarship money and was interested in dietetics. Yes, that’s right -- I was a dietetics major, then a psychology major, and then a business major. I took several career assessments in the Career-counseling Center and discovered Criminal Justice!

I chose to be a criminal justice major because:

  • I found the courses to be very interesting and I was no longer bored in my classes.

  • You have the opportunity to minor in a variety of different areas such as:
    • Behavioral Specialist
    • Forensic Investigations
    • Conservation Law
    • Balanced and Restorative Justice
  • Gannon has two fraternities – APS (Alpha Phi Sigma) and LAE (Lambda Alpha Epsilon)

I am currently working towards my Behavioral Specialist minor where I get a lot of hands on experience through the class work and the Behavioral practicum. I am a Criminal Justice "Diplomat" and a board member of the LAE Fraternity.

"I love the Criminal Justice Program and enjoy my life at Gannon University. My professors in the criminal justice program do everything possible to help me succeed and adjust to my new major."

"The faculty and students are very inclusive and made me feel welcome."
