The Dahlkemper School of Business Administration is proud to be the first area institution of higher learning to be awarded national accreditation of its undergraduate and MBA programs by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
In 2000, the Dahlkemper School of Business underwent a rigorous review process leading to this prestigious recognition. The ACBSP evaluated curriculum, research, internships, faculty, and teaching methods and found Gannon to be exemplary.
The Council for Higher Education (CHEA) has formally recognized the ACBSP. The ACBSP was the first and is currently the only business accrediting agency to achieve such a distinction. CHEA acts as a national policy center and clearinghouse on accreditation for higher education.
The ACBSP accreditation was the latest in a long line of local and regional firsts for the Dahlkemper School, including:
first Master of Business Administration program (1970)
first School of Business (1979)
first computer intensive business curriculum through the Business Technology Scholarship Program (1988)
ACBSP accreditation, coupled with the University's existing national and regional accreditations, is an assurance of the Dahlkemper School of Business' academic excellence and program quality. This unique distinction aids prospective students and employers in assessing the stature of the Dahlkemper School's undergraduate and graduate programs. Equally important, it confirms Gannon University's continuing role as the region's institutional leader in undergraduate and graduate business education.
