Tribeta fosters scholarship, leadership, and research among undergaduates. Students must maintain a B average or better to participate.
Our chapter tries to remain active in many on-campus activities. One of our biggest projects every year involves a biology day where several hundred high school students are invited to the campus for a day to explore the exciting and challenging field of biology. The students are given the opportunity to visit the labs and classrooms, while the activities of campus students proceed. Demonstrations and and information about the chance for scholarships are given to the visiting students, and most of the students have positive attitudes towards the field of biology by the end of the day. We remain involved in several activities such as the Give Day, Presque Isle Clean Up, Golden Harvest, and more. We try to involve ourselves with as many on-campus activities as possible such as intramural sports and our annual spring banquet. We also take field trips, maintain this internet site, sponsor a faculty/student hockey game and many other activities.
Our advisor is Dr. Steven Ropski.
