The College of Humanities, Business and Education is a community of students and
faculty committed to the academic and personal growth of its members. We seek to provide
the highest quality professional and pre professional preparation in the context of
a broad liberal education in the Judeo-Christian tradition. We are convinced that such an
education is the best foundation for a productive, rewarding and ethical life. The richly diverse
educational programs of the College include a focus on integrating knowledge and on
developing student abilities in critical thinking, communications, information acquisition and
processing. We are also committed to providing students with the opportunities to develop an
international perspective and a multi-cultural understanding suitable for life in an
increasingly global community. We believe that this education will endure across professions and
will prepare students well for the challenges and opportunities of the Twenty First Century.
The College is composed of the School of Humanities,
the Dahlkemper School of Business Administration, and the School of Education. Majors are offered in 29
baccalaureate degree programs and 5 two year, associate degree programs. We offer students
opportunities for interdisciplinary and multi disciplinary studies through numerous minor and
certificate programs. The College is committed to promoting active learning including
student research, and practical experiences through service learning, field work, internships and
cooperative education.
