The School of Sciences is comprised of programs in Biology, Chemistry,
Environmental Science, and Mathematics. Each program, mindful of the great
thrust forward in its own and related fields attempts to present a course of
study such that its students will have a regard for the past, a firm grip of the
present, and an anticipation of the future. The student’s understanding is
enhanced by lectures, class and seminar participation, visual aids, project
assignments, modern laboratory procedures, and computer facilities.
Courses of study are also offered for students whose goals are not focused on a concentrated field of study. These curricula are interdisciplinary in nature and prepare the student for further study into the fields of medicine, dentistry, podiatry, optometry, pharmacy, and physical therapy.
The Bachelor of Science degree is conferred on students whose field of concentration is Biology, Family Practice Medicine, Optometry, Chemistry, Mathematics, Podiatry, Science, and Environmental Science.
The University offers a Chemical Engineering degree in cooperation with the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Detroit Mercy, and the University of Akron.
