Gannon University announces the launch of the Institute for Health and Cyber Knowledge (I-HACK).

  • Students, faculty and staff are welcomed to participate in our Café Club offerings.  This add-on offers participants easy accessibility to great homemade food, extensive variety, late night availability, healthy post-workout options and more at two exciting on-campus venues - The Knight Club and Fresh Cafe.

    By purchasing a Café Club add-on, you will be able to pre-pay for meals with the swipe of your Gannon I.D. at two amazing Gannon campus venues: The Knight Club and The Fresh Café. The Café Club 15 and Café Club 30 are for exclusive use at both locations during these venues' normal hours of operation.

    For First-Year students, Café Club is an exciting new add-on option to complement your current meal plan through Metz Dining Services.

    Sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students, faculty and staff are welcome to choose Café Club without first having purchased a meal plan through Metz Dining Services. 

    Pricing Options

    Café Club 15 and Café Club 30 may be purchased when signing up for on-campus housing, by contacting Residence Life, the Cashier's Office or by filling out the available order form.

    • Café Club 15 = 15 meals for $120.00
    • Café Club 30 = 30 meals for $240.00

    A meal includes any menu item, a side and a fountain drink or selected bottled beverage. The available choices vary between dining options.

    Dining Options

    The Knight Club

    During the academic year, The Knight Club features a full menu of delicious appetizers, entrees, side dishes, desserts, and refreshing beverages. Open exclusively to the Gannon community, students, faculty and staff experience great food, live music and comedy, video karaoke, movie nights, pool tables and more in a relaxed, safe, on-campus setting. Breakfast, including Erie's famous Sidewalk Café pancakes, is served weekend mornings from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The Knight Club is an on-campus hangout where students can establish connections with each other and build positive memories that will last a lifetime.

    Hours of Operation

    • Monday-Thursday: 4:30 p.m. -  11 p.m.
    • Friday: 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. | 4:30 p.m. - 2 a.m.
    • Saturday: 10 a.m. - 2 a.m.
    • Sunday: 10 a.m. -11 p.m.

    Fresh Café

    Located within Gannon University's Recreation and Wellness Center, The Fresh Café provides students and members a great place for preparation, organization and restoration while advocating all around wellness. The Fresh Café's made-to-order menu features panini sandwiches, a variety of hand-crafted entrees, juices and smoothies made from fresh fruits and vegetables and more.

    Hours of Operation

    • Monday - Friday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
    •  Saturday - Sunday: Noon. - 4 p.m.

    Additional Information


    Subject to review and approval, a meal plan add-on dropped in the first week after purchase will be refunded at full cost, minus the equivalent of meals consumed prior to dropping the plan. As for add-ons dropped after the first week:

    • 80% will be refunded during the second week,
    • 60% during the third week,
    • 40% during the fourth week and
    • No refunds will be granted after the fourth week of classes.

    Roll-over meals

    Café Club 15 and Café Club 30 meals expire at the close of the last day of classes at the end of the academic year in which it was purchased.  Unused meals purchased during the fall semester may be used during the subsequent spring semester.


    Blackboard will display how many swipes are left at The Knight Club and The Fresh Café point-of-sale terminals.  Account status can also be viewed by logging-in to your GU Gold account online.
