Volleyball

1. The teams will consist of a maximum of 6 players, 4 minimum to start the match.

2. The IM Volleyball League will play the 3 games to 21 points, win by 2, 26 point cap, rally scoring.

3. Game Rules :

    *The ball may hit the net on a serve, you must play it over and in

    *Rally score - point awarded on every serve

    *You may not carry, throw, kick or double contact the ball - this is a judgement    

     call by the official and can not be questioned

    *You may not block the serve

    *A block does not count as one of the 3 contacts allowed per series

    *You can play the ball off the ceiling on your side only

    *No back row attacks - must jump from behind the 10 foot line

    *You can only block when the other team is attacking the ball or sending it over

     the net - no blocking the set

    *You may not hold or assist a player who is making the play

    *You may not touch the net at anytime

    *Your foot may be on the center line, but can not go completely over

    *Normal Volleyball rules according to USVBA guidelines

4. VERBALLY ABUSING OR ARGUING with the officials may lead to ejection from

    the match and/or the league.

5. Each team will be allotted 1 timeout per game.

6. Scoring System for Seeding:

    - if your team wins a game you will earn 2 points

    - if your team loses a game you will earn 1 point (no points for a forfeit).

    - The team that wins more games will earn 1 additional point (ex.: if you win 2 out

        3 games, you will earn 5 points and if you win all 3 games, you will earn 7 points).

    - Other criteria, including point differential will be used in tie breaker situations.
