Ultimate Frisbee

 

Number of players on the field: 6 outdoor/ 5 indoor

* need 1 less than the required number to start a game and avoid a forfeit.

Game length: First team to 7 goals wins. Win by 2 with a cap of 10.

Initiating play: Each point begins with both teams lining up in front of their respective endzone line. The defense throws the disc to the offense. The home team will begin the game by throwing to the visitors.

Scoring: Every time the offense completes a pass into the opposing teams endzone a point is rewarded.

Moving the disc: The disc may advanced in any direction by completing a pass. Players are not permitted to run with the disc, you will be only be given 2 steps to stop after catching the disc. The player holding the disc has 10 seconds to get rid of the disc. A stall count is the responsibility of the defender.

Change of possession: Change of possession occurs any time a pass is not completed or goes out of bounds. The other team takes immediate control of the disc.

Substitutions: Substitutions can only be made after a score or during a timeout. Each team will receive 1 timeout per game.

Contact: This is a non-contact sport. No contact between players is allowed. The person initiating contact has committed a foul and the other team assumes/retains possession. Excessive contact will result in disqualification from the game.

Making calls: The teams will call the game themselves. Any disputes should be re-done. Excessive contact fouls and removal from the game will be the decision of the event supervisor.

Foul Language/Fighting/Arguing: These actions will not be tolerated and are subject to removal from the competition. The supervisor has the final say on any call.
