Indoor / Outdoor Soccer

Playing Field : Indoor = CAP / Outdoor = REC Field

* Metal spikes are not permitted in the outdoor league

All NCAA Soccer rules will apply with the following exceptions :

1. The ball can be passed in any direction on the kickoff.

2. Games will be 30 minutes in length, running clock. The clock will start at the designated start time for the game.

3. Teams will have a 10 minute forfeit window, but keep in mind, the clock starts at the designated time.

4. Substitutions are made on the fly at midfield in front of the scorers table. Players must be completely off the field before a sub may go in.

5. A team will consist of a goalie and 7 field players (outdoor) and a goalie and 5 field players indoor. You may start a game with a total 6 for outdoor and 5 for indoor.

6. Foul language, fighting and arguing with officials will not be tolerated and will result in a 2 minute penalty in which your team will play a person short. If the official or the supervisor feel it is necessary, ejection from the game is a possibility. Any ejection will suspend you from a minimum of 1 contest.

7. Officials calls are final, if you have a problem, file a protest in writing within 24 hours.

8. Flagrant fouls :

    * 2 minute penalty

    * 5 minute penalty

    * Ejection from the game (could be sooner)

9. The final word on any situation is ultimately up to the supervisor. Any problems, threats or arguments will not be tolerated.

10. Overtime - There will be no overtime during league play, only in the playoffs. An overtime will consist of a 5 minute sudden death. If there is still no winner, an additional 5 minute sudden death will be played. If we still have not decided a winner, the game will go to penalty kicks. 5 players will kick for each team (must be on the field at the end of the game). This will continue until there is a winner.

11. Teams are limited to 1 ex-varsity soccer player or 1 coach.

Point System for Standings :

    * 3 points for a win

    * 1 point for a tie

    * 1 point per goal (max of 3)

    * 1 point for a shutout victory

Tie-Breakers :

    * Head to head competition

    * Goal differential

    * Goals against

    * Goals for

    * Number of shutous

    * Coin flip
