Our Gannon Guides

For an inside look at Gannon University, take a tour with one of our student tour guides. Tour guides come from diverse backgrounds and experiences. As part of your tour, they will cover the various aspects of student life (academic, social, recreational, spiritual), as well as the many opportunities that Gannon University has to offer.

Favorite Gannon Spot and Why:  The friendship green is my favorite Gannon spot because of all the activities and events that go on there.

Activities:  Student Government Junior Rep, Gannon Ambassador, Alpha Sigma Tau, Social Concerns Club 
Favorite Gannon Spot and Why:  My favorite spot on Gannon is the Jesus statue because it’s in the heart of campus and you can always tell people "hey meet at Jesus"

Year: Junior
Major: Pre-Medicine/Biology
Activities: Student Government Association, Gannon Tour Guide, Leadership Development Committee Co-Chair
Favorite Gannon Spot and Why: Old Main; this is where all of Gannon was started.  It is the most beautiful building I have ever seen.  It’s amazing to know the huge amount of growth from one Old Main to now three different colleges.

Major: Social Work
Activities: Resident Assistant, Social Work club, Intramural sports
Favorite Gannon Spot and Why: Library, the library is a great place to get away and be a student. It not that isolated I also see many of my friends doing their work there to. The library can be a quiet or social place that is why it is my favorite place on campus.

Activities: Honors, Phi Eta Sigma, Lambda Sigma
Favorite Gannon Spot and Why: Old Main is my favorite Gannon spot because of its classic architecture and history.

Janae Butler

Hometown: Erie, PA
Year: Sophomore
Major: Journalism Communications
Activities: Staff Writer for The Gannon Knight, Promotions Director at 90.5 WERG, Summer Orientation Advisor, Commuter H.O.S.T.
Favorite Gannon spot and why:  My favorite Gannon spots are the commuter lounges in Palumbo.  I have a lot of really funny, good, and awkward stories that have originated from those lounges

Stephanie Komorek

Hometown:  Erie, Pa
Year:  Sophomore
Major:  Elementary and Special Education
Activities:  Phi Eta Sigma and Gannon Water Polo
Favorite Gannon spot and why:  My favorite Gannon spot would have to be AJ's way because I love the flowers in the springtime and the Christmas tree and lights around the holidays.  Also, it is nice to walk to class and hear the bells ringing at noon.

Favorite Gannon spot and why:  Cafeteria...without a doubt.  I love to eat and the cafeteria always has something good.

Major:  Secondary Education Social Studies
Hometown:  Latrobe, PA
Year:  Junior
Activities:  SGA VP of Public Relations, Kappa Delta Pi, Phi Alpha Theta, Intramurals
Favorite Gannon Spot and Why:  SGA Office because I enjoy when students come in and want to get active on campus.  Also because I spend a majority of my day in there doing work.
