Gannon University uses the math and critical reading scores as two primary components of our admission criteria for all academic programs. We use the highest math and critical reading scores from among all tests taken.

The writing scores are reviewed as a secondary criteria, especially for borderline students. Reviewing the essays on-line is done on a case-by-case, as-needed basis.

The SAT essay is not a replacement for our recommended personal statement. However, the SAT essay component does provide Gannon University with additional information about an applicant's writing skills.
