What advice would you give to current or prospective students?
Be open to everything. At any time, an opportunity may present itself that you never thought you would be interested in, and you try it, you just might realize it is something you absolutely excel in and love! Gannon has so much to offer, and don’t be afraid to ask every single question you can think of to make sure it has what you are looking for and what will make you happy as you pursue your career as a college student and beyond.
Why did you choose to attend Gannon University?
Gannon combines many aspects of what- in my mind- the ideal college setting should be: small college atmosphere with big college & career opportunities. Our radio station, 90.5 WERG is progressive and competitive with major professional radio stations around the entire area. I became the Assisant Webmaster/New Media Director second semester of my freshman year, and this year I have moved up to the position itself.
What do you like best about Gannon University?
I love immediately being offered hands on opportunities in every area possible. I auditioned for my first show, began working at the radio station 90.5 WERG and was introduced to our TV Studio within the my first semester here at Gannon.
I have two favorite places to be here on campus: the Schuster Theatre, or in the studio at 90.5 WERG. I learn so much every single day at both places, and I get to do it along with all my friends in my major!
