What advice would you give to current or prospective students?
Take advantage of all Gannon and the Erie community has to offer. There are so many opportunities that Gannon can open the doors for you to explore. Whether you take part in the many activities and groups or put your classroom learning into real world experience through internships and co-ops, your Gannon "family" will support you every step of the way. Be sure to take every opportunity that is given to you, because you never know where it will lead you.
Why did you choose to attend Gannon University?
There were a lot of reasons I chose Gannon. I was looking for a smaller college atmosphere but that offered a lot of larger school opportunities. I wanted a school that would feel like my friends, professors and other connections I made were a part of my extended family. Upon my first visit to the school, I immediately felt as though the faculty and students went out of their way to welcome me and make me feel comfortable. The academic program is excellent and allows you to blend many facets of communication and other interests you may have to better mold you for the job you have always wanted. As a graduate, I have to say I've always been pleasantly surprised how well regarded this small university is even down here in Washington, DC.
What was the highlight of your Gannon University experience?
Looking back, there were so many highlights of my time at Gannon. The communications professors went out of their way to support me and my fellow classmates, as was evident in the many projects they let us take upon ourselves. We enjoyed a strong feeling of family-like community and many of us, former classmates and faculty alike, still keep in touch regularly today.
