November Events at Gannon University
Month includes annual Fall Open House on Sunday, Nov. 8
Prospective students and their families are welcome to attend Gannon University’s annual Fall Open House, to be held Sunday, Nov. 8. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. in the lobby of the Waldron Campus Center, 124 West 7th St. Also at 11 a.m., an optional mass will be held in the University’s Mary, Seat of Wisdom Chapel, 520 Peach St.
At 1 p.m., Gannon President Antoine M. Garibaldi, Ph.D., will offer welcoming remarks in the Hammermill Center, Peach Street and South Park Row.
Students and their families will be able to tour the campus, meet with faculty, administrators, and athletic coaches, and attend presentations on academic programs as well as admissions and financial aid.
Scholarship Contests will be offered in a number of academic disciplines, such as English, Foreign Languages, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, and Education.
In addition, Open House will include On-Site Admissions from 1:30-4 p.m. Students can meet individually with a member of the Admissions Office to receive an immediate decision on their application. Students must have a minimum SAT or ACT score and grade point average in order to participate.

On Thursday, Nov. 12 Gannon University will host a Graduate Open House. Attendees will be able to meet with Gannon faculty members and representatives from admissions and financial aid. The standard application fee will be waived for all attendees. Gannon University’s Erie Chamber Orchestra on Friday, Nov. 20 will host a concert at 7:30 p.m. at the Central Tech auditorium, 3320 Cherry St. The concert will feature as soloist the Edinboro University Singers. Gannon University’s Erie Chamber Orchestra is conducted and directed by Bruce Morton Wright. All concerts of the orchestra are free and open to the public. Gannon University’s Schuster Gallery on Nov. 20 will begin a new exhibit, “Nature of Diversity: Interpretation of Nature by Three Local Artists.” The exhibit will remain on display through Jan. 20. Gannon University’s Schuster Gallery is located on the third floor of the University’s Nash Library, 619 Sassafras St., and is open during regular library hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.; Fridays, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sundays, 12:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. For more information, call 814-871-5467.
