Gannon to Host Engineering Day
Some 100 high school students will be on campus for special day
Gannon University on Friday, Oct. 2 will welcome to campus some 100 students from six local high schools who are interested in pursuing careers in engineering.
Students from Strong Vincent, CentralTech, Union City, Cathedral Prep, Harbor Creek, and East high schools will participate in “Engineering Your Future.” The day is designed to give the students an opportunity to participate in fun, interactive, and educational laboratory projects while also providing them an overview of the University’s programs in engineering and in computer science.
As part of “Engineering Your Future,” the students also will learn about professional opportunities in engineering and related fields and attend informational presentations and discussions.
In addition, students will tour the campus and meet with Gannon faculty members and current engineering and computer science students.
