Three ROTC Students to be Commissioned
Three Gannon University students will be commissioned as second lieutenants in the United States Army when the Gannon ROTC holds its Commissioning ceremony Saturday, May 9.
The Commissioning will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the University’s Schuster Theatre, 620 Sassafras St.
The Gannon University commissionees are:
• Ryan C. Genard, science/pre-med.
• Benjamin J. Moore, criminal justice.
• Brian A. Yoder, Jr., business administration.
The ceremony’s keynote speaker will be Major General Robert P. French, assistant adjutant general – Army, Pennsylvania National Guard. Gen. French has served in each of the three major components of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard: the Pennsylvania National Guard Joint Headquarters, the 28th Infantry Division, and the 213th Area Support Group.
Prior to this assignment, Gen. French served as chief of staff, Headquarters State Area Command from July 2002, and then deputy adjutant general – Army, through September 2007.
