    • Q:   Are there computer labs available?
    • A:   Computer labs are available for student use and you need only your network ID to log on. This information is posted on your class schedule. Labs are located in the following areas and their availability is subject to class schedules which are posted outside of each lab:

      • Zurn 122
      • Beyer 209
      • Palumbo 2248 and 2008
      • Media Center (basement of Nash Library)
      • Cyber Cafe (in Nash Library - available during library's hours of service)

Wireless networking using the 802.11b standard is available in Nash Library, Waldron Campus Center, Beyer Hall, Zurn Science Center, Palumbo, and the Schuster Theatre. To make use of the Wireless Network (WLAN) you will need a newer generation Laptop running WindowsXP (Windows 9x and Windows 2000 will work, but are not supported). You will also need a Cisco Aironet 350 PC Card (model# AIR-PCM352).

For your wireless card to work at Gannon University you will need to either come to the Information Technology Services office (Zurn 123) to have the necessary software installed or you can download the software and install it yourself. The Cisco Aironet 350 PC Card can be purchased at many places including the Gannon Bookstore. Also Nash Library will have a couple of laptops already setup for use with the WLAN and the Waldron Campus Center will have wireless network cards that can be signed out.
