The Application Process

  1. Return the completed Application for Undergraduate Admission. First-time Gannon students need to submit a $25.00 non-refundable application fee. Make checks payable to Gannon University.

  2. Complete the Student Record Request form and mail it to your high school. Gannon’s accreditation requires complete academic files showing that all enrolled students have completed high school. All transcripts become the property of Gannon University and cannot be returned to the applicant nor forwarded to a third party.
  3. GED students must submit an official transcript showing all years of high school completed as well as a copy of the GED scores. Students who completed their GED in Pennsylvania can request copies of their scores by sending their name, date of birth, social security number and year they tested to the following address:

    The Department of Education
    Commonwealth Diploma Program
    333 Market Street
    Harrisburg, PA 17126-0333
    (717) 787-6747

  4. Transfer students should request that an official transcript be forwarded to the Admissions Office from all colleges attended. Official transcripts must be received to complete the file and in order to transfer any credits to Gannon.
  5. Transfer students with less than 30 college credits must also submit an official copy of their high school transcript.

Transfer students must request a financial aid transcript from all colleges previously attended. Failure to do so will delay the processing of their financial aid package.

  6. Entrance exams may be required in some cases for part-time evening students. In addition, some academic programs have specific prerequisites. Contact the Center for Adult Learning for details.
