In 2010-2011 Gannon’s students, faculty and staff contributed more than 79,000 hours of community service, and through the focus on its University Neighborhood, service in the target area increased. A few of the past years Erie-GAINS target area accomplishments include:
- 88 sites were served and benefited from 278 separate engagements
- Community organizations received cash contributions of more than $72,000
- Tutoring and mentoring increased by more than 1,000 hours
- Day of Caring focused on environmental sustainability projects in the University Neighborhood
